It's 2014
Happy new year!
What better way to welcome the new year than to wake up 10 minutes later than normal (this is the closest I get to sleeping in). Big improvement for Lutfi, as he didn’t wake up once throughout the night. I am missing 2013 which has brought us different challenges, surprised us with infant to toddler growth spurts, and many happy endings.
This year I’m determine to challenge myself in other aspects. Don’t get me wrong, I love motherhood and being a wife and grateful for having these two in my life they are after all my biggest aspiration. But I have set myself personal goals I would love to achieve. One being to improve on my baking skills, also make cooking a hobby (hobby so its sounds fun to do, without the disappointments of my food not having enough flavour or being tasteless).
Being more motivated to pick up my camera and learning new techniques and functions. Also it could just be the year I finally take out my sewing machine out from its box, and sew myself a maxi skirt. Why a maxi skirt? I’m not quite sure, maybe another challenge to add to the list.
I need to make sure my family of 3 makes it to the beach this year, and if and when Jeff helps me assemble my bicycle we can then finally go out on a family bike ride, teach Lutfi new words to keep repeating till he picks up on another word to annoy us with, more and more park activities, breakfast with friends and many many dates I can get with my husband.
So thats me and my two cents worth sharing. Have you any plans for this new year you’d like to discover about yourself?
