Christmas in the outback
Over the Christmas break, I towed my family and my parents north of Western Australia, to a 36,000 populated town called Geraldton. We took the oceanic route north, took us roughly 5 hours to get there, and mother nature never ceases to amaze us.
Friends did remind us that the weather north is usually hotter than the city, so we took their notes into consideration, and packed nice light material clothing and sunscreen. Especially cause we were camping in the outback. Best thing about where we camped, Sunset Beach Holiday Park, is that it was right beside the beach, where the beach breeze was so calming.
After having camp made coffee for a couple of mornings. We were all quite happy that Dome Coffees were open and we just had to sneak in a little taste of what Jeff and my dad calls 'real coffee'. I must admit, having tasted 'real coffee' and 'real pastries' and 'real chai latte' that morning, we all felt refreshed.
The whole trip was about sight seeing and taking a well deserved R&R vacation. And that was what we did.. Now onto some photos of our getaway!
Hope you all had a safe Christmas break! xx
