Being working parents, Jeff and I usually love to take Lutfi out on the weekends. This weekend, we ditched our usual weekend outdoor excursion and stayed in for arts and crafts. We decided to start our art and craft weekend activity with painting.

I took out the watercolours and paint brushes, and off we were.. well almost. Clearly you could be like me and forget the most important thing of all that would keep your toddler as close to cleanliness as possible - an apron! Jeff pulled out an old t-shirt and we had to make do. Luckily enough Lutfi didn't mind it.

We started with teaching Lutfi to paint within the shapes. He did that for quite a bit, then he lost interest and just wanted to paint himself, literally paint all over himself.

I'm not sure if its just Lutfi or are there other toddlers out there just like him?

So we started painting his palms, and he enjoyed it more when he hand stamped away. I was so impressed, and so was he..
