Hello October!
Hey there! It feels so unreal, that we only have 3 months left before 2014 ends. Does that not feel crazy?
I dazed off (as I normally do) and started to think of what I have achieved over the past 9 months. Then I laughed at myself, only to realise after seeing my reflection in the window, then looking around making sure no one saw me giggling and talking to myself (which you all know now) how silly I looked! – embarrassing much?
Anyhow, I decided to turn the kettle on, make myself a hot cup of tea and blog about it. If you remembered my New Years post, you would recall I set myself a few goals. The only reason I laughed at myself, was because after we ate dinner, Jeff gave me a pat on the back, literally. That was a very proud moment for me, his reason being was that I cooked dinner and it was delicious (or maybe just good enough). Hold up – What I’ve been cooking? Yes, although nothing challenging (yet) but I have made a lot more dinners in the past month than I have in the past 3 years of marriage (perks of having mum stay with you).
However I must admit, this sewing machine of mine is still sitting cosily in its box and I am embarrassed to even mention that it may just stay that way. Nevertheless I have been sewing. Well if you call needling a button back on a shirt sewing – then check that goal off from the list. (Cheater cheater pumpkin eater! Yes I know).
Well in summary .. 60% of things accomplished off the resolution list, isn’t bad at all. Happy October!
